To create our couverture chocolate, we exclusively partner with 'Original Beans', who produce our organic-certified, ethically sourced cacao. Our single origin cocoa is sourced from Pacific cloud forest on the edge of the Cotacachi Cayapas Nature Reserve in the Esmeraldas Province, Equador.



There, the indigenous Chachi Communities grow cocoa beans many hours up the Cayapas river. Growing in this remote region requires the beans to be transported by river to Loma Linda, where they are dried, fermented and sent on their next journey to us. Hiring a boat to make this journey is costly and significantly reduces the income the families make from the cocoa bean harvest.
