Advent islands

This is the second year of our beautiful Advent Islands. They will bring a little moment of joy every day this December.

The Idea

Sustainability is at the core of our brand. We believe in using a much-loved advent calendar and refilling it each year rather than buying a new one.

That is where the idea for Advent Islands came from. It would be perfect if our homes' heirloom calendars could be refilled with beautiful and sustainable chocolate.

The idea is simple and perfect. It didn't come from us but from one of the Bean and Goose team, Glenda. 

Glenda has been with Bean and Goose for two years and, over that time, has come to understand the ethos behind our brand. 

Glenda is the person who looks after your wholesale and corporate deliveries, making sure each one is packed and sent with care and love.

We all think of them as Glenda's Advent Islands. 

The Islands

Each Island is a celebration of paired back, perfect simplicity. 

Advent Islands will arrive in a kraft box, each wrapped in a recyclable glassine envelope, hand-stamped with a Christmas snowflake: 24 Islands, one Island for each day of Advent.

Flavours

Islands are available in a mixed box of 4 Bean and Goose flavours.

Our classic and much-loved Smoky Milk and Umami Dark (vegan)

Smoky Milk

Smoky, salty sweetness and creamy goodness. 

Oriel smokes Irish Sea Salt in 90-year-old Nicaraguan oak kegs freshly emptied of Irish whiskey. The smoked salt is combined with creamy, sweet milk chocolate.

Umami Seaweed Dark

Salty, savoury & sweet notes in each bite.

Irish Sea Salt and organic Irish Seaweed from small islands off the west coast of Ireland are dried, finely ground and added to dark chocolate to create a match made in heaven.

We have also created a Bean and Goose version of a Hazelnut Whirl in milk and dark chocolate. A single, whole roasted hazelnut buried within our sustainably sourced single-origin creamy milk and rich dark chocolate. 

This flavour is a nod to our favourite childhood Christmas chocolate, the Hazelnut Whirl found in tins of Roses.
