Celebrating 10 Years of Bean & Goose: A Journey of Flavour, Passion, and Purpose
2024 has been a big year for Bean & Goose. We officially celebrated 10 years of crafting chocolate that tastes incredible and tells a story. From the very first bar we created to where we are today, it’s been an amazing ride, and we couldn’t be more excited to share this milestone with all of you.
So, let’s take a moment to reflect on where we started, where we are now, and what’s coming next—and most importantly, how you’ve been part of this journey.
Where It All Began: The Love of Irish Ingredients and Artisan Craftsmanship
The story of Bean & Goose began with two sisters, a shared passion for great food, and a vision to create something beautiful that also does good. We started with a deep love for the Irish ingredients around us—rich in flavor and steeped in history. We wanted to take the time to create chocolate that reflected that, crafted with care and passion. It was all about celebrating the beauty of the raw ingredients and the artistry behind the process.
As we’ve grown over the past decade, that same ethos has remained at the heart of everything we do. The chocolate we make today is as much about where it comes from as it is about what it tastes like. From our humble beginnings to now, our mission has always been clear: craft chocolate that’s not just delicious, but meaningful.
Where We Are Now: A Team of Makers, Innovators, and Change-Makers
Fast forward to today, and we’re proud to say that Bean & Goose is much more than just a chocolate brand. We’re now a thriving team of 12 passionate makers, each contributing to the magic in their own way. Together, we have built a winning team as dedicated to the craft as we are to the community we have created around it.
We’ve grown beyond our kitchen in Last Tree Farm, and you can now find our chocolate in stores across Ireland. Our online store has grown, with customers worldwide enjoying our creations. Plus, we have created 100’s of unique chocolate flavours for our subscription customers through the Tasting Club that brings the love of Bean & Goose straight to your doorstep every month.
We’ve also partnered with some of the best corporate companies globally, helping them share our chocolate as part of their gifting programs. It's been amazing to see how Bean & Goose is becoming a part of celebrations and moments of connection worldwide.
We have been spreading the love for sustainable, delicious chocolate by putting couverture, chocolate batons, and hot chocolate in cafés, bakeries, and kitchens across Ireland—places that share our values of ethical choices, and businesses built for the future. We are proud to be working alongside businesses that are about doing good.
One of the highlights of the past few years has been the creation of The Chocolate Bar. It’s a concept that has received much love from all of you, and we are excited to continue growing it in 2025. It has been a joy to see our vision for an immersive, chocolate experience come to life, we can’t wait to share even more of it with you next year.
The Flavours From The Chef’s Table: A Taste of Something Special
If we had to pick a standout moment from the past year, it would be the Flavours from the Chef’s Table series. This project was close to our hearts, and it’s been one of our most loved collaborations. We worked with some of the most talented chefs, each bringing their flair and creativity to the table. Together, we crafted a series of chocolate bars that reflect the passion, artistry, and personality of the chefs involved. The result is a collection that’s as much about storytelling as it is about chocolate. These incredible flavours will be available as a limited edition collection early in 2025. Keep your eyes peeled.
We are incredibly proud of this project, and it feels like the perfect way to honour the journey we have been on so far.
What’s Next: A Journey to the Source
So, what’s next for Bean & Goose? We’re always thinking ahead, looking for new ways to grow, learn, and bring you even more of what we love. First, we have an exciting trip planned for January 2025: a visit to Colombia, the source. We are heading to the farms that produce the incredible raw ingredients that make craft chocolate so special, and we can’t wait to see firsthand how these cacao partners not only grow such delicious beans but also protect their communities and the environment.
