The 1980s was the decade of the mix tape.

Mix tapes were made as gifts for friends and as love letters to the ones we liked.

First, you had to decide on the right song and then listen to the radio at just the right time to record it. 

There was a skill required to create a seamless mix tape. Ours were full of abrupt endings. They took hours to put together, and that was what made them so special.

The '80s were a time of New Romantics, Punks, Mods & Goths.

An era of love songs, power ballads and slow sets at the disco.
